Credit Union’s “Community First” Initiative
Strengthens Community Ties
La Habra, Calif., April 7th, 2011— La Habra based American First Credit Union has launched a new initiative designed to enhance community partnerships and promote economic vitality and financial literacy. The new “Community First” initiative is a credit union-wide effort to participate in local community events and activities. Embracing the idea of interacting with the community they serve, all of the credit union’s employees have signed up to participate in a number of community events, including La Habra’s 5k/10k run, next month’s Citrus Fair and Eggstravaganza and the annual 4th of July celebration.
“Now more than ever we feel it’s important to support our community’s economic vitality and strengthen the strong relationships we have with our members,” said Pam Easley, President and CEO of American First Credit Union. “Our employees are excited to support this initiative which further illustrates their ongoing care and dedication to the communities we serve.”
