American First Credit Union Organizes Book Drive
La Habra, Calif., November 10, 2010- In an effort to support La Habra High School’s literacy goals, American First Credit Union recently organized a book and magazine drive for the school. American First employees collected more than 550 books & magazines over the summer and recently donated them to the high school.
The periodicals will be used to help promote the school’s goal for every student to read a minimum of 20 minutes per day. This is the second year the credit union has organized a book drive for La Habra High School. Last year 150 periodicals were donated.
“American First welcomes the opportunity to help promote literacy in our schools,” said Pam Easley, American First President/CEO. “I commend our employees for organizing the book drive again this year, and for their generous donations.”
