Chief Financial Officer, Scott Rains

    La Habra, Calif., January 28th, 2009— American First Credit Union is pleased to announce its new Chief Financial Officer, Scott Rains. In his new position, Rains will oversee seven associates and be primarily responsible for financial reporting and asset liability management.

Rains possesses 30 years of financial services experience. He most recently held the position of chief financial officer of USC Credit Union for ten years where he oversaw $350 million in assets. Other career positions include audit manager with a regional accounting firm and operational and commercial lending experience in a national financial institution. 

Rains earned his BS degree from California State University, Fullerton and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and California Society of CPAs. Rains resides in Orange, CA with his wife and two teenage sons.
