Coinstar® Comes To American First Credit Union

           La Habra, Calif., November 19th, 2007—American First Credit Union (AFCU) is pleased to announce its partnership with Coinstar® that includes the addition of a self-service counting machine in AFCU’s La Habra and Buena Park branch locations.

            The Coinstar® machines allow credit union members and the community to deposit their loose coins into the automatic coin-counting machine, receive a printed voucher for their deposited amount, and then turn that voucher into cash at the teller window. As an added benefit to members there is no transaction fee for the first $500 deposited into the credit union Coinstar® machines each month.  Coinstar® machines located in other local retailers, grocery stores and video rental establishments charge their customers an 8.9% transaction fee.
