Credit Union Hosts Holiday Concert and Fundraiser for

Special Education High School

La Habra, Calif., December 26, 2008—American First Credit Union recently hosted a holiday concert and fundraiser for Hope Special Education High School, located in Buena Park, California. As active members of the community they serve, the credit union invited the school to put on a performance at their Buena Park branch for credit union members, the Buena Park Police department, Buena Park Senior Center, as well as family and friends.

In addition, the school art department made eco-friendly green shopping bags that were then sold to raise funds for the school.

“The holiday concert was a special performance enjoyed by all in attendance,” said Bob Street, American First Credit Union President/CEO. “We partner with Hope School throughout the year, and we were delighted to have them perform for us and the community and also pleased to be able to assist them with their school fundraiser.”

American First Credit Union (AFCU) is a member-owned, full-service financial cooperative established in 1952. It has five convenient Orange County branches, located in La Habra, Buena Park, Placentia, Orange and Tustin. AFCU has over $700 million in assets and serves more than 70,000 members. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Orange County or 16 additional cities throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.
